WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DONATE ALL OF YOUR PROFITS TO CHARITY?

We are proud of this commitment and want to be clear and unambiguous about what we mean when we say “100% of Profits to Charity.” In the simplest terms, when we say 100% of profits, we mean what’s left over (aka surplus, balance, difference) after normal business expenses are deducted from all the income we derive from sales from our food, beverage and merchandise. Like all businesses (commercial or nonprofit), there are normal business expenses required to operate ELLA and IN THE PINK, such as employee wages, salaries and benefits, cost of goods, marketing and advertising, supplies, rent, insurance, taxes, etc. 100% of profits from ELLA (as defined above) are donated to IN THE PINK, which is recognized as a charitable organization under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Service code. The Foundation is governed by an independent Board of Directors, which is obligated to use the Foundation’s resources solely to advance charitable purposes.

WHERE IS ELLA LOCATED?

I WANT TO HELP NYC WOMXN IN NEED! HOW CAN I CONTRIBUTE TO IN THE PINK AND ELLA WITHOUT VISTING THE PHYSICAL LOCATION?

That's so kind of you to ask! We welcome all donations, both financial and in-kind. To make a cash contribution, please visit our donation page or simply text ______ to _________. Product, food and beverage donors should email our Founder at kelli@inthepink.nyc. And yes, we are a registered 501(c)(3) charity, so you donation is entirely tax deductible.

WOMEN VS. WOMXN? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

Why the "x" variation, you ask? In a word, the answer is inclusivity. The "x" allows space for individuals who identify as genderfluid, genderqueer, gender non-conforming, non-binary and to include transwomen. ELLA and IN THE PINK support and represent all womxn. *Hate is not welcome here.*
